We kicked off the year with a rebranded Facebook Page (Right 2 Smile Youth Group) and introduced our mentors and coordinators! Stay updated with our weekly sessions, discussions, creative activities, and outreach efforts on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok!

One of our youth group sessions, we got hands-on with clay creations! From shaping ideas into reality to embracing the mess, we had an amazing time exploring art, expression, and a little bit of patience!
This project has been funded by the Small Initiatives Support Scheme (SIS) managed by the Malta Council for the Voluntary Sector (MCVS) supported by the Ministry for Inclusion and the Voluntary Sector (MIV).

We’ve been carrying out outreach youth work in the neighbourhoods of Santa Luċija and Ħal Tarxien! If you see us around, come say hi! Another highlight was our visit to St. Catherine’s High School, where we introduced students to our youth group and its opportunities for growth and connection.

We’re working with the Santa Luċija Local Council, Active Ageing, and St. Thomas More Secondary School to preserve local history through art. Our youth group is collaborating with artists to explore creative ways to highlight Santa Luċija’s cultural legacy.

One of our recent highlights was a photography session, followed by a collage-making session with Katelia, where participants explored storytelling through mixed media. With layers of paper, textures, and colours, they created unique pieces that reflected their personal narratives. Our focus is always on discovering and utilising everyone’s talents, ensuring that each session is an opportunity for growth and exploration.

Equipping our mentors with the right skills is a key priority. Recently, they participated in an LGBTIQ+ well-being training session offered by FSWS, aimed at understanding different needs and fostering well-being in an inclusive world. Additionally, another training session focused on professional growth and the essential skills required to work within a youth work setting. By investing in continuous learning, we ensure our mentors are well-prepared to create positive, supportive environments for the young people they guide.

We will continue to carry out outreach within the neighbourhoods of Santa Luċija and Ħal Tarxien, with the aim of connecting with young people! We are also working on outreach in schools, monthly psychotherapy sessions, and quarterly mentor training. Lastly, we encourage you to stay updated on our Facebook Page: Right 2 Smile Santa Luċija
