Youth Group Corner – April to June 2025

In May, we had our very first Right 2 Smile Youth Group Open Day, and we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! During the Open Day, the young people and mentors proudly showcased the youth group’s creativity, vibrant energy, and diverse talents through a display of artistic work and shared experiences.

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who came by, joined the fun, shared in the energy, and made new connections. It was a morning bursting with creativity, learning, and community spirit — and plenty of smiles to go around! ☀️

Some of our sessions’ highlights 🌟! We had different sessions full of laughter and connection through fun games and creative activities. We also had heartwarming sessions focusing on being together. From fun games to meaningful chats, it was a space to build friendships and feel at home.

We had a powerful session with our psychotherapist, and we explored grounding, connection, and boundaries through real-life case studies and guided techniques.
We ended with a relaxing painting session to reflect, unwind, and simply be present. 🎨🧠

Apart from our in-house activities, we also swapped screens for scenes and headed to Ta’ Lazzru Farm for a day of hands-on learning, exploring traditional farming and sustainable living! Huge thanks to the Ta’ Lazzru team for the warm welcome and inspiring us with their passion. 🌱🧺 This activity was part of the Erasmus+ project ‘Rooting for Agritopia’, funded by the European Union.

We also had an energetic and laughter-filled session at Rinella Tennis Club, Kalkara! Young people and mentors got active, learned new tennis techniques, and enjoyed a beautiful day outdoors. Thank you to Rinella Tennis Club for the hospitality — your venue and energy were amazing! 🎾🌟

Apart from our weekly youth group sessions we are 👣 Out and About, actively carrying out outreach youth work in Santa Luċija and Ħal Tarxien. If you see us around, come say hi! 😊 We love connecting with young people in the community and hearing your ideas!

We’re looking for passionate individuals who want to make a difference — and if that sounds like you, why not consider joining our team? We’re currently inviting volunteers that have experience working with youth to support our Right 2 Smile Youth Group in Santa Luċija. Sessions are held every Wednesday from 18:30 to 20:00. It’s a great opportunity to help young people grow, share your skills, meet like-minded people, and receive full training and support along the way.
