Right to Smile Foundation: New Board Recruitment

Right to Smile Foundation (VO/0583) is a voluntary organisation founded in 2011 with the vision of creating ethical and sustainable community projects in Malta and abroad. Our work is rooted in solidarity, respect, and the belief that every person has a right to dignity and opportunity.

We are now opening the call for new Board Members to lead the organisation in its next phase (2026 – 2028).

Responsibilities of the Board

Board members are volunteers who commit their time and expertise to ensure the good governance and sustainability of the organisation. The main responsibilities include:

• Administration of the NGO – ensure compliance with legal, financial, and regulatory obligations.
  
• Strategic Leadership (2026–2028) – develop and oversee the implementation of R2S’s strategic plan.
  
• Transparency & Financial Sustainability – uphold accountability standards, ensure transparent reporting, and support resource mobilisation.
  
• Fundraising & Partnerships – strengthen donor relations, CSR collaborations, and sustainable fundraising models.

Commitment of the Board members

• Attend monthly Board meetings (online or in person).
  
• Support at least one fundraising or community event per year.
  
• Contribute to building the organisation’s strategy and sustainability.

The term for each Board member is three years.

The selected candidates will be invited for an interview with the current board members. A Hand-over Period will take place between November 2025 and January 2026, where new members will shadow the outgoing Board for a smooth transition.
