A letter from the President of Right to Smile Foundation – Ruth Mifsud
Dear Right 2 Smile family,
My journey with Right 2 Smile began over a decade ago, with a volunteering experience in Kenya that truly changed my perspective. After growing with the organisation and most recently serving as Youth Coordinator, I am now proud to step into the role of President. I am honoured to work alongside a dedicated board of directors and hardworking staff to lead this organisation forward.
These past years have shown me that our mission is never a solo effort. It is the collective energy of the board, staff and volunteers that keeps our philosophy alive. Together, our focus remains on ensuring our international projects remain sustainable, ethical and community-centred, as we continue to promote quality education, responsible volunteering and genuine intercultural exchange.
At the same time, we continue to strengthen our local projects, particularly through the Santa Luċija youth group. Our goal is to empower young people through mentorship and activities that build essential social, cultural and personal skills. In a world that is increasingly lived online, we have worked hard to provide a community where young people can still meet, be heard and truly be seen.
As I take on this new responsibility, my commitment is simple: to ensure we don’t just talk about change, but continue showing up to deliver it. I have seen what we can achieve when we work together and I am ready to keep that momentum going.
Ruth Mifsud
President
