Call for Experienced Artists: Community Arts Program

About the Program:

Right 2 Smile is excited to announce our Community Arts Program which aims to bring together individuals of all ages and backgrounds to celebrate the power of art in building strong, vibrant communities. Through a series of interactive art sessions, participants will have the opportunity to learn, collaborate, and create together, culminating in the creation of a mural that reflects the rich tapestry of our community.

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking experienced artists who are passionate about community engagement and skilled in guiding artistic expression. As a facilitator in our program, you will play a crucial role in inspiring and empowering participants of all skill levels to explore their creativity and contribute to a collective masterpiece.

Responsibilities:

• Lead engaging and inclusive art sessions.
• Provide guidance and support to participants of varying ages and abilities.
• Collaborate with community members to develop the concept and design for the mural.
• Oversee the creation and installation of the mural in a local garden space.

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience in visual arts, particularly in drawing and mural painting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adaptively in a community setting.
• Commitment to fostering inclusivity and diversity in the arts.

The selected applicant will have a commitment to:

=> Facilitate 8 Art sessions (1hr/session)

=> Oversee the creation and installation of the Mural (around 20 hrs work)

Total fund amount: €1,150
